A new office and unique manufacturing facility in Lakeland, FL. This state of the art project was one of the first in Polk County to be designed and constructed to earn LEED certification by the USGBC. Rodda selected materials that were 25% recycled and/or regional, and developed and implemented a stringent construction waste recycling plan that was able to divert almost 90% of the project’s waste from landfills. Rodda also implemented an indoor air quality management plan both during construction and after occupancy. The exterior consisted of tilt-up concrete panels, with curtainwall, sunshades and storefront windows. The project used Earthlinked’s unique geothermal Water Heating and HVAC systems, and included individually controllable light and HVAC units.
